NKAR Travels & Tours Ltd., was founded in 1980, and has been steadily growing in the Travel and Tourism Industry for over two decades. In the outbound market in Sri Lanka, NKAR represents approximately 12% with a turnover of approximately US $800,000/- per month. NKAR is a sister company of a highly diversified group of companies branching into plantations, manufacture of tea and rubber, hoteliering, wholesale and retail trading in general hardware and GSA representation of PIA. At the inception, NKAR fully concentrated on outbound travel. Gradually the company got involved in the inbound operations. Since getting into inbound tourism, the organization has been steadily growing, increasing the number of arrivals year after year.
Our primary markets at present are British, German, Dutch, and Spanish followed by Russian, Italian, Indian, Pakistan & Thailand markets. NKAR Travels and Tours Ltd., alone presently employ over 100 efficient and productive personnel with expertise in their different forte and who are given regular refresher training. From our staff, we are in a position to offer personnel with an excellent command of foreign languages.
